Multiple agencies are again investigating a fire at a Tampa mosque.
- Small fire at Tampa mosque
- Smoke seen at Islamic Education Center, located on Rockpointe Drive
- Same mosque experienced a fire about two weeks ago
According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, the fire broke out Wednesday night at the Islamic Education Center in the Town 'N Country area.
Firefighters said when they arrived at the center, located at 6450 Rockpointe Drive, smoke was seen coming from the roof.
The small fire was quickly put out.
There was no one inside of the building and there has been no word on what caused the fire.
The same mosque experienced a fire about two weeks ago.
Hillsborough County Fire Rescue said the previous fire was caused by an electrical problem. The structure sustained significant damage from that fire.
The second fire is under investigation by officials at ATF, Hillsborough County Fire Rescue and the Sheriff's Department.
