A 14-year-old boy has died after an accidental shooting at a gun range in Sarasota.
According to the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded just after 3 p.m. to calls of an accidental shooting at the High Noon Gun Range on Bee Ridge Road.
The boy was rushed to Sarasota Memorial Hospital with serious injuries. Just after 6 p.m., officials announced the teenager had died.
Sheriff’s detectives and forensics units are investigating the shooting.
