The storms moved quickly across the state this afternoon, again moving into the gulf. Other than a lingering isolated shower, the rest of the night will primarily be just partly cloudy.

  • Skies will gradually clear overnight
  • Storms moved quickly across state
  • Wednesday will be a similar day

Skies will gradually clear overnight into Wednesday morning. Lows will be in the mid to upper 70s.

Wednesday will start the exact same way with mostly sunny skies. Temperatures will warm quickly with highs in the low to mid 90s by early to mid afternoon.

The scattered storms will begin in the afternoon inland and move westward. So keep in mind that even if the storms start well inland they will eventually move toward the beaches and head out into the gulf just like the past couple days.

Tropical Depression 6

The tropical wave in the eastern Atlantic we’ve been talking about on air the past couple days has developed into Tropical Depression 6.

It will move northwest over the next few days and likely become Tropical Storm Fiona. It’s no threat to land as it will stay in the middle of the Atlantic.
