The University of South Florida Police Department sent an alert to students Thursday after multiple reports of a man exposing himself on campus.

The incident occurred about 6 p.m. outside the USF Juniper Popular Dining Hall, near Beard Drive, police said. When officers responded to the area, witnesses told them the man was last seen heading north.

At 9 p.m., USF police received a call that a man matching the suspect's description exposed himself at the Fresh Foods dining area in the Argos Center, police said. Minutes later, police received another call about a man running naked on the fifth level of the Beard Drive Garage. Police were unable to locate the suspect.

The man is believed to be in his 30s and is described as having a thin build with short hair, possibly blond.

USF police offered the following safety tips to students:

  • Be vigilant and keenly aware of the environment around you
  • Notify the police if anyone or anything looks out of place
  • Report suspicious activity immediately by calling 911
