A St. Petersburg police officer faces a charge of domestic battery.

The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office said Monday it arrested Officer Curtis Wright after an altercation with his live-in girlfriend.
The incident happened at about 1:30 a.m. Saturday. Wright was arrested Sunday.
Wright was placed on administrative duty pending the outcome of the investigation.
He has been a St. Petersburg officer since April 2010.
In 2013, Wright was one of two officers who shot and killed a man who had scissors.
