Higher moisture is coming in from the Gulf of Mexico as the first cold front of the season moves through the southeastern U.S. and toward Florida.

  • Morning lows in the low to mid 70s
  • Showers to move out by Thursday evening
  • Rain chances for weekend

A big plume of moisture is moving across the region. So expect on and off passing showers and storms from now through at least the first half of Thursday.

The first big front of the season is moving into the deep south, helping to funnel moisture into our area.

Morning lows will be in the low to mid 70s, which is where many locations already are right now.

All showers and storms will have an eastward movement, so most of them will move out by Thursday evening.

Highs will be in the mid to upper 80s.

Friday will feature the cold front stalling out right on top of our area. That means northern counties will end up drier while southern counties will still have lingering scattered showers.

Even though the front will not move all the way through, it will still have an impact with slightly lower humidity for northern counties, and the mid-level drier air will push most of the storms to the south for one day.
