This week was Congressman Charlie Crist's first week on the job in Washington, and unfortunately he missed a key vote.

  • Congressman Charlie Crist misses vote in first week on the job
  • Crist said he was delayed in arriving to the house floor
  • Congress voted on a UN resolution rebuking Israel

Thursday's vote was on a United Nations resolution, rebuking Israel for building settlements in the west bank.

Crist sent out a statement that day saying he was delayed in arriving to the house floor and had missed the vote on a legislation that he co-sponsored.

With the intention of voting, Crist said, "Well I think the settlements offered an impediment to a 2 state solution, which I support. So I think supporting not having the settlements is appropriate and that's how I will be voting today, is to support that notion."
