Here's your Tampa area weather forecast for late Thursday into Friday morning, with a look at conditions through the weekend.

  • Increasing humidity
  • Higher rain chances
  • Warm weekend

Today was the driest day of the week, with lower humidity and mainly clear conditions. We only saw a couple small showers out there this evening, but otherwise quiet, tranquil weather will take us into early Friday morning.

Skies will go between partly cloudy and mostly clear.

Lows will be in the low to mid 70s, except for some upper 60s in Citrus to northern Hernando county.

Friday will feature increasing clouds along with increasing humidity. As a result, rain chances will start coming back into the area.

The morning will still be rather quiet and dry, but the afternoon will feature partly cloudy skies with a 40 percent coverage of scattered showers and storms. Highs will be near 90.

Friday night will feature partly cloudy skies with scattered showers diminishing through the evening. Lows will be in the low to mid 70s.

Saturday will continue the increase in moisture with higher humidity, more clouds, and a higher rain chance especially through the afternoon to evening hours. The coverage of showers and storms will go up to about 50 to 60 percent this weekend, so although it won’t be a washout, know that it will be more like a late summer forecast instead of an autumn forecast.

There will be passing scattered showers and storms through the afternoon to evening hours. Highs during the day will be slightly lower, in the upper 80s due to the extra cloud cover.
