Here's your Tampa area weather forecast for late Monday into Tuesday morning, along with a preview of conditions through the end of the week.

  • First cold front
  • Much lower humidity
  • Coolest Thursday morning

The first big cold front of the season is on the way.

Scattered showers will have an eastward movement across the area with a general decrease in coverage as we head toward morning. Otherwise, expect mostly to variably cloudy skies with temperatures holding in the 70s.

When the front arrives early in the morning around sunrise, temperatures will drop briefly into the 60s to low 70s in most spots from the Bay northward.

Tuesday will be the first day this season that we finally see a big drop in humidity. The temperatures will also be lower, but only a small decrease to begin with.

Highs will be around 80. Wednesday and Thursday will end up being the cooler days.

There will still be lingering clouds and a couple showers early in the morning, mainly south of I-4 and southeast of the Bay as the front slowly moves in that direction.

By the afternoon it will be dry and clouds will start to clear out.

Tuesday night will be clear and cooler with lows dropping into the 50s to low 60s for Wednesday morning. It will definitely be the coolest morning we’ve had this season.

Wednesday will be a gorgeous and cooler. Even with sunny skies, highs will only make it to the low to mid 70s.

Wednesday night will be cool again with lows in the 50s to low 60s.

We will have a gradual and pleasant warming trend into the weekend, but another front is on the way this weekend that could bring even cooler air by next week.
