A 28-year-old woman died Sunday after crashing her motorcycle near Lutz Lake Fern Road, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.

Erica Kristen Rodriguez of Wesley Chapel was riding a green Kawasaki motorcycle eastbound on Lutz Lake Fern Road with a group of motorcyclists.
According to deputies, Michel Ghobrial, 39, of Lutz, was driving a Toyota Corolla on Lutz Lake Fern Road a distance ahead of Rodriguez.
Ghobrial told deputies he activated his turn signal and slowed down in an attempt to turn left into a driveway. Rodriguez entered the westbound lane to pass traffic and crashed into the left side of the Toyota, deputies said.
Rodriguez was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa, where she was pronounced dead.
No charges are pending, deputies said.
