Tonight will be one of the colder nights in the last few weeks as cool air continues to move into the region.

  • Cold front moving in Christmas
  • Highs for Tuesday in low to mid 70s/lower 80s

Lows will settle in the 40s and 50s most areas.

On Tuesday, we will begin a rather fast warmup, with temperatures climbing back to the usual above average values of late.

With a dry airmass in place and sunny skies, high should top out in the low to mid 70s most areas and possibly lower 80s along the southwest Florida coast.

Easterly flow will hold with temperatures running a few degrees above normal.

A few afternoon showers will be possible over the Nature Coast Wednesday Night just ahead of the cold front, but otherwise quiet weather is expected.

Long range computer models show a possible return to colder weather around the first of the year.

There is still plenty that can change but check back with us for the updated forecast for the next few days.
