A 47-year-old Seminole man was killed Thursday morning trying to cross a busy roadway.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Cory N. Crittenton died after being struck by a vehicle on 49th Street North in Lealman.
Troopers said Crittenton was walking eastbound across 49th Street at 8:33 a.m., just south of 47th Avenue North, when he stepped into the path of a Ford Ranger being driven by a 52-year-old Pinellas Park man.
Crittenton was transported to an area hospital where he later died.
The driver of the Ford was not injured.
The crash remains under investigation.
