Trevor Summers has been charged with kidnapping, grand theft, domestic violence and attempted murder in the first degree, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff Office's. A bond hearing will be held Monday.

Alisa Summers was reported missing Saturday. She, the suspect and her vehicle were found Monday at the Inn at Little Harbor in Ruskin.

During a Tuesday interview with Bay News 9's Erin Maloney, Alisa Summers said she is thankful to be alive and is fighting for custody of her children.

"I can’t stop smiling because I’m so happy to be here," said Alisa. "I truly felt all of the thoughts and prayers that were coming. That kept me going. I really felt that love and support.”

Alisa told us there were times during the ordeal when she doubted she'd survive, and that it was faith and prayer that kept her from giving up hope.

"I kept praying saying, ‘I know you’re going to put the right people in the right places at the right time and this is going to happen to me,’ said Alisa. "That’s exactly what happened. I’m so grateful for all the people who saw something and did something.”

A judge has placed them with paternal grandparents for now.

Authorities believe the incident unfolded late Friday and early Saturday.

Trevor Summers asked his 14-year-old daughter, who lives with Alisa Summers, to leave a window open at her house. At some point he went inside and allowed the daughter and their other children to drive to his address.

Monday morning, a resident saw Alisa Summers' vehicle at the Inn at Little Harbor and called the sheriff's office.

Officials said Trevor Summers did not cooperate with attempts to take him into custody.
