St. Petersburg Police detectives are investigating a fatal shooting Monday where the victim's body was found in the street.
Officials said the shooting occurred just after 6:30 p.m. near the intersection of 11th Avenue South and 23rd Street South.
Officials said officers arrived on scene about 90 seconds after police received the call of a shooting. When they arrived, they found the victim, Timothy Karl Davis, 34, in the roadway.
Officers administered CPR until Fire Rescue units arrived and took over. They were unable to keep Davis alive.
Investigators received information pointing to a dispute Davis had been involved in over the past few days. Anyone with information about this dispute is asked to contact the St. Petersburg Police Department.
