A mobile home was destroyed in a fire Friday morning in Hernando County.
Following 911 calls from neighbors, fire Crews responded to the 10000 block of Spirit Woods Trail in Brooksville shortly after 12 a.m. and found huge flames coming from the home.
Crews confirmed that no one was at home at the time of the fire, and worked to prevent the flames from spreading. Despite their efforts, the residence sustained heavy damage and is untenable, according to Hernando Fire Rescue.
The Brooksville Fire Department assisted in the effort to knock down the fire. No injuries to fire personnel or civilians was reported.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
