Taylor Paige Horne was arrested Sunday night and charged with six counts lewd and lascivious battery.
Whisper is an anonymous social networking app. Users can post confessions and/or admissions, either fact or fiction. What makes Whisper different from other social networking apps is the fact that users don’t have an identity when using the service.
According to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, an investigation began into Horne two months ago based on an anonymous tip.
Deputies said Horne, from Trinity, met the teen on Whisper three months ago and began having sexual encounters about a month later. The two had sex at various locations in Pinellas and Pasco counties.
Authorities said the victim told deputies the two had sex 10 to 20 times and that a sex toy was used during the encounters.
Horne is now awaiting trial.
