A pair of twins from Tampa are facing charges after a road rage incident captured on video earlier this month.

According to Clearwater police, Joseph Rivera and twin Joel Rivera-Gabriel, 25 years old, were arrested Tuesday after an investigation into an incident with took place July 2.

Officers said the twins became involved in a road rage incident with a 62-year-old Tarpon Springs man in the 3000 block of Gulf to Bay Boulevard in Clearwater.

As the man attempted to drive past Rivera-Gabriel's scooter, Rivera-Gabriel repeatedly swayed back and forth in multiple lanes to stay in front of the pickup truck, before the man was able to pass Rivera and drive off.

Moments later at a traffic light, Rivera-Gabriel pulled alongside the truck and began slapping the side of the truck bed. He then broke off the truck side view mirror. All of this was captured on surveillance video from a driver just behind the truck and motor scooter.

Once the man got out of his truck, Rivera and other scooter riders pulled up to the scene. Rivera can be seen on video swinging his helmet at the victim before throwing it.

The motor scooters them all then drove off. There were no injuries.

According to police, the twins caused about $1,400 worth of damage to the truck.

Rivera has been charged with shooting at or into an occupied vehicle while Rivera-Gabriel is facing aggravated assault charges.

Joel Rivera got out of the Pinellas County jail on a $4,500 bond. His brother is being held on a $2,500 bond.

A judge told the twins to stay away from the victim.
