Here's your Tampa area weather forecast for late Tuesday into Wednesday, with a look at conditions through the end of the work week.

  • Slightly drier air
  • Cooler water temps
  • Rain chances increase

When Irma passed by yesterday it pulled drier air down into our area on the backside.  That allowed for a slightly more comfortable day with lower humidity and slightly lower temperatures.

It’s been a nice positive, considering that many people are still without power and air conditioning.

Skies will be mostly clear overnight into early Wednesday, with lows in the 60s for Citrus, Hernando, and parts of Pasco County, while counties south of that will have low to mid 70s.

Wednesday will be similar to what we had today, with sunny to partly cloudy skies and highs in the upper 80s.  There will be an increase in clouds late with a few showers trying to move in from the Gulf in the evening.

By the way, if you’re by the beach it will feel cooler, as Irma cooled the water temperatures down a lot.  They were in the upper 80s before Irma, then dropped to the 70s behind Irma, and now are slowly warming back into the low 80s.

Heat, humidity, and moisture returns for Thursday with rain chances on the rise.
