Hurricane Irma in the Atlantic continues to move west. It will not be anywhere close to the U.S. until next weekend.

Showers and storms will end this evening. Overnight, skies will become partly cloudy. Lows will be in the mid to upper 70s.  

Labor Day, there will be a 50 percent chance of scattered showers and storms developing along the sea breeze in the afternoon. The morning is likely to be drier as winds shift to easterly. Lows for will be in the mid to upper 70s. Highs will be near 90 to low 90s Monday.

For Tuesday and Wednesday, showers and storms develop in the afternoon and evening hours with rain chances at 50 percent. Heavy downpours are likely in some areas. Lows will be in the upper 70s to low 80s along coastal areas. Highs will be in the upper 80s to low 90s.

For Thursday, there will be a 50 percent chance of showers and storms in scattered throughout the day. Highs will be in the low 90s.

On Friday, a cold front will approach the area. The front is likely stall across our area. Afternoon storm chances will continue to be 50 percent.

If Hurricane Irma is in the Western Atlantic, not far from Florida It could be getting breezy, but less humid for next weekend.
