At least one person is dead and another injured in a condominium fire in St. Petersburg.

According to St. Pete Fire Rescue, the fire broke out at 4710 Coquina Kay Drive Southeast just after 3 a.m. Fire officials said the residents of the condo were two male roommates in their 20s.

When firefighters arrived, they found one roommate outside with second and third degree burns over 10 percent of his body. When they went inside, they found the other roommate dead.

The fire was contained to the unit. Other units sustained smoke and water damage, but nothing significant.

The fire marshal's office is investigating the fire. 

Authorities have not released any further information.
