Man, 40, killed in St. Petersburg crash

A 40-year-old man was killed Thursday morning in a single-vehicle crash in St. Petersburg. 

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened just after 6 a.m. at 7063 41st Terrace North. 

Troopers said the driver lost control of the vehicle, which went onto the shoulder of the road before hitting a power pole and fence and rolling over. 

The driver was ejected from the vehicle and transported to an area hospital. 

He later died from his injuries. Authorities have not released his identity as of yet.
