Here's your Tampa area weather forecast for late Thursday into Friday morning, along with a look at conditions through the weekend.

  • Mild Friday
  • Increasing clouds
  • Rain for Sunday

Skies will go from mostly clear to partly cloudy into Friday morning. There will again be some areas of patchy fog, but the fog will burn off quickly after sunrise.

Morning lows will be seasonable -- mainly in the 50s -- but there will be some upper 40s in Citrus and Hernando counties.

Clouds will be on the increase Friday, resulting in partly to mostly cloudy skies. But that won’t have an impact on temperatures, as highs will still make it into the mid 70s.

It will be a very comfortable afternoon. Winds will increase late in the day into the evening as a weak front drifts into the area, but it will only bring a very small chance of a passing sprinkle.

Otherwise, we expect dry conditions to persist into the first half of the weekend.

Friday night will be mostly cloudy with lows in the mid 40s to low 50s.

Saturday will be partly cloudy, but still pleasant with highs only a few degrees lower in the low 70s.

Saturday night will be partly cloudy with lows in the 50s.

Sunday will feature cloudy skies and start out dry in the morning, but then rain showers will move in from the gulf in the afternoon to evening. If you have outdoor plans on Sunday, get them done in the morning before the rain arrives.

Highs will be in the mid 70s Sunday.
