Here's your Tampa area weather forecast for late Thursday into Friday morning, with a look at temperatures through the start of next week.

Skies will be partly cloudy into early Friday morning. The cold front is on the way and as it moves through it could result in a small passing shower or sprinkle.

But don’t expect much, as there isn’t a lot of moisture with it. The bigger story line will be the changing pattern on the backside into this weekend.

Morning temperatures will still be mild in the 60s. The biggest temperature change takes place Friday night into Saturday morning.

Any chance of a shower will go away quickly in the morning with the front moving south quickly. Skies will feature a mix of sun and clouds with a northerly breeze during the day.

Drier, less humid air will start moving in and you will begin to notice a difference, but temperatures will only be a few degrees lower in the upper 70s to low 80s.

Friday night is when the coolest air starts moving in. Skies will go clear with lows dropping into the 50s and 40s for Saturday morning.

Saturday will be gorgeous but breezy with a north wind. Skies will be sunny with highs in the mid 70s.

Saturday night will be clear and cool, with lows in the 40s to low 50s and even some upper 30s in Citrus and Hernando counties, which will feel downright cold compared to what we’ve seen the past month.

Sunday will wrap up the weekend on a cool note with sunny skies and highs in the low 70s.

Monday will continue the cooler pattern with highs in the low 70s under mostly sunny skies.

We start to moderate a bit Tuesday, with highs in the mid to upper 70s, but another cold front is expect next Wednesday.

That will knock our temperatures right back down, with some of our guidance suggesting even colder air.

It’s still too early for exact numbers, but we could also be looking at a frost possible for northern counties late next week. It’s something we’ll definitely have a to keep a close eye on, since many plants are now blooming.
