Katharine, the 14-foot, 2,300-pound great white shark scientists have been following since August 2013 is back in Florida.

Katharine was tagged off the coast of St. Augustine this week.

She was last tagged in our area last May when she was in the ocean near Titusville. She has also been spotted in Volusia and Flagler counties.

The shark's location is determined by a ping, which is registered when the shark's dorsal fin breaks the surface of the water and transmits a signal to a satellite overhead.

You can track Katharine's movements on the OCEARCH website, or follow her on Twitter.
