Imagine a concert featuring 70 arts organizations. Instead of each group showcasing its act individually, Orlando has united like never before.

  • Beautiful Together concert for OneOrlando Fund
  • 70 acts from across Central Florida performed

“This is the biggest collaboration that we know of where arts organizations are coming together [and] not doing their separate acts," says show producer Josh Vickery.

The number wows him - nearly 70. That includes opera, dance, ballet - you name it. Vickery says these groups responded almost immediately.

“At 9 a.m. on Monday morning, the day after, there were 25 leaders that came around a table to talk," he said.

That number grew. Big time.

We were there during sound check on Wednesday, and caught up with some of the first ticket holders.

"I really hope that this is going to be a re-birth of the city's common life together," said Holly Rogers, Winter Park.

Those who shyed from our cameras blamed the lump in their throat. But most said they finally felt - lighter.

"I think everyone's in a better mood, obviously, than they were, so hopefully everyone will come out and support us," said Jordan Davis, Winter Garden.

"I think there's going to be a moment of reflection," said M.C. Irizarry, Orlando. "There's also going to be a moment of - [lets out a sigh of relief]- you can be at peace and you can just have a moment of smiles."

"Music is a powerful thing," added Kathleen Gavern, Orlando. "It just helps heals people."

"Well, it makes you feel like you've done something," said Cindy Norris, Winter Garden.

All proceeds from this big show go right to the OneOrlando Fund.

"If those 49 lives would've been able to see the amazing humanity happening right now," Vickery added. "We have seen so much good come out of this tragedy."

Tickets started at $15 and went up to $85. We're awaiting word on how much money was raised for OneOrlando.
