A 3.7-magnitude earthquake was recorded Saturday off the coast of Daytona Beach, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The earthquake struck at 4 p.m. and was centered more than 100 miles off Florida’s east coast. There were no reports of any impact on land and no damage was reported.

Earthquakes off the Central Florida coast are rare, but experts say minor ones do occur in the ocean every so often.

In June, another 3.7-magnitude earthquake hit off the coast of St. Augustine.
