SpaceX announced on Sunday that its first launch from Kennedy Space Center will be no earlier than mid-February.

The organization said the CRS-10 mission to the International Space Station will launch from KSC's Launch Complex 39A (LC-39A). Following the launch of CRS-10, the first commercial mission from LC-39A will be the launch of the EchoStar XXIII satellite.

Originally, Space X had targeted Jan. 30 for its first launch from KSC. Officials said the schedule change would allow time for additional testing on ground systems ahead of the CRS-10 mission.

The launch vehicles as well as the EchoStar satellite are all reportedly in good health and prepared for launch.
