Officials at OneBlood said Monday they have reached out to a blood center in Nevada and offered to assist them.
"We are in the process of preparing a shipment of blood and platelets to be sent to them as soon as possible and remain on standby to assist further if needed," OneBlood said in a news release.
OneBlood said that, generally, healthy people age 16 or older who weigh at least 110 pounds can donate blood.
