Lake County deputies arrested two people Friday for attempted abduction in Clermont.

A woman told deputies that a suspicious person stopped her outside her residence while she was with her daughter and 3-year-old granddaughter. The woman said the man got out of his truck and approached them while ordering them to get in his truck.
The suspect fled after the three ran inside the residence.
Officials said responding deputies saw the vehicle and attempted to pull it over when the driver, identified as Mark Allen Meinhart, 45, refused to stop and fled for a short while.
Deputies were able to stop the truck at John's Lake Road and US Highway 27. Meinhart and his passenger, Kristen Deflorio, 32, were then arrested and taken to the Lake County Detention Center.
Meinhart was charged with attempted luring or enticing a child and fleeing and eluding law enforcement.
Deflorio was charged with attempted luring or enticing a child.
