  • Payout to follow same formula as original payout

The OneOrlando Fund will distribute an additional $1.3 million in additional contributions made since September, the city of Orlando confirmed Monday.

Board members said the second payout will follow the same formula as the first, with the most money going to families of the deceased.

The payments will be made after the fund officially closes March 31.

Originally the fund distributed $29.5 million for 305 claims, from those who survived the June 2016 attack at the Pulse nightclub, or from families of the 49 people who were killed. The additional funds will be disbursed for those 305 claims.

The additional funds bring the total amount donated to almost $31 million.

Five families are still fighting in court over compensation.

The fund is no longer accepting donations.
