It seems we’ve put winter on hold and this warmth is going to stick around for at least the next week to 10 days. As a front approaches and falls apart over us tomorrow, we’ll have enough instability for a few isolated showers to kick up.

As a weak front continues nudging a ridge of high pressure farther east into the Atlantic, our wind has become southerly and has ushered in more warm and muggy air.

Highs were eight to 12-degrees above average Wednesday afternoon, even nearing record territory in a couple locations. Patchy fog may again develop overnight as moisture streams in ahead of the front.

As this front draws closer and begins to dissipate near us, it may kick out a couple isolated showers Thursday, otherwise expect a mostly cloudy sky and highs in the 70s. We are dry again Friday, with highs back into the lower 80s.

More instability arrives for the weekend ahead of yet another system, so we’ve gone with a 30-percent rain chance Saturday night, then up to 50-percent Sunday night into Monday. Highs remain in the lower 80s.

Clouds and isolated showers may keep you from the beach Friday, but if you’re still planning to enjoy the sand between your toes, mild temps are expected. Our surfcast looks fair in the morning, as an east to east-northeast swell and wave heights waist to chest high create some fun sets. A north-northeast wind chop mixes in and creates poor afternoon surfing conditions.
