The New York Yankees liked what they saw in Winter Springs catcher Chris Breen, as he was picked up in the 12th round of the MLB 2012 First-Year Player Draft.

"I went to a couple workouts with them (Yankees) and I really liked their organization and how they run things," Breen said. "It's just a nice fit and how it happened."

Breen credits a lot of his individual success to his parents and the coaching staff he has had around him throughout the years.

"I'd like to give a special thanks to Chaz Lytle, my hitting coach, for really enhancing my life in and out of the cage," Breen continued. "And Coach Jeff Perez and the whole staff for giving me the opoportunity to showcase myself and make a name for myself."
