Former USF commit Robert Garcia has found a home.
The Jesuit defensive end will sign with Iowa State on Wednesday, Jesuit director of communications Pete Young announced.
Garcia committed to the Bulls under then-head coach Skip Holtz, but opened up his options when Willie Taggart and the new coaching staff took over. He took and official visit to Aimes, Iowa in mid January, and made his pledge official a day before Signing Day.
Garcia will be one of nine student-athletes to sign at Jesuit Wednesday. Here's the schedule and list of athletes below.
Signing Ceremony schedule – Wednesday, Feb. 6 - President's Board Room
7:05 a.m. – Meet and greet athletes and their families (light breakfast outside board room)
7:20 a.m. – Jesuit AD Terry Rupp will address the athletes, coaches, media and families
7:25 a.m. – Introduce Jesuit President Fr. Hermes and Principal Barry Neuburger
7:30 a.m. – Students sign letters of intent
