Lakewood wide receiver Marquez Valdes made it a Signing Day to remember Wednesday, as the 6-foot-3, 200-pounder signed with N.C. State in the Bright House Sports Network studios.
Valdes, who said he loved the atmosphere on campus and his future teammates in Raleigh, picked the Wolfpack over offers from USF, Missouri and Arkansas, among others. He caught 26 balls for 444 yards and six touchdowns in 2012.
Joining Valdes in studio was Spartans softball star Haley Michalski, who signed with St. Andrews in North Carolina.
