Tampa Catholic's All-American guard, Corey Martinez, is now at Florida State.

Their star running back and linebacker, T.J. Harrell, found a home at Michigan State.

Quarterback Kyle Ploucher, he's gone, too.

That's 2,955 total yards, 36 touchdowns, 47 tackles and 300 pounds of beef off the roster.

"It's a lot of talent there that we have to replace," Crusaders head coach Mike Gregory said.

Then, he takes a look around the practice field, his team running around in green and white practice jerseys, "but there's a lot of talent out here."

One of those talented names is Pasco transfer Nate Craig, the top wide receiver for the 2016 class, who helps juice up the offense, even with the loss of a starting quarterback.

"Everybody is asking if we have somebody to get him the ball," Gregory said. "We have two guys that can get him the ball. Quite frankly, we're going to find a way to get it in his hands one way or another."

Sophomore Tyler Simms and Freshman Kevin Knox are battling to replace Ploucher. Both have differing skill sets.

"One will take a step forward one day and one will take a step forward the next day...they really are two different quarterbacks," Gregory said. "We have to utilize both of them."

"These guys are a good duo," junior linebacker Cody Endris said. "No one knows that to expect. They can each throw the ball and run."

Endris and rising junior Malik Barrow, a top recruit for 2016, lead a revamped defense.
