An 0-4 start wasn't excatly what Rick Kravitz was hoping for in his first season as Gibbs' head coach, but he'd rather focus on what his team did down the stretch last season.

"We won four of the last six and probably could have won all of the last six," Kravitz said. "We played some really good teams. We lost by eight or fewer, so we just have to keep working to try and get over that hump."

That work has been ongoing this spring, where Kravitz hopes his team will continue to make strides, despite 15 of his players sitting out due to injuries or eligibility issues.

The growing pains are certainly there.

"Talent, that's not the problem," rising senior Dorian Jackson said. "We just have to learn how to play together and get stuff done."

With an abundance of sophomores on his roster, Kravtiz is excited about his team's future, especially with guys like Craig Watts and Marquez Walls, two rising juniors with BCS offers.

"Excellent players," Kravitz said.
