A pair of National College Football Awards Association watch lists were released Monday, and UCF senior middle linebacker Terrance Plummer found his name on both as he was tagged by the Rotary Lombardi Award and the Butkus Award.

The Rotary Lombardi Award is handed out to the college lineman of the year by the Rotary Club of Houston, and eligibility is limited to down linemen either on offense or defense, or linebackers. The 45th Rotary Lombardi Award will be held Dec. 10 in Houston.

The 30th annual Butkus Award goes to the nation’s best linebacker, and is presented by the Butkus Foundation.

Plummer now appears on four preseason watch lists, including the Bednarik Award for defensive player of the year and the College Football Performance Awards Linebackers Trophy.

Hailing from Orange Park, Fla., Plummer had a monumental 2013 in which he was the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl Defensive MVP and was voted on to the All-American Athletic Conference First Team. He also was a SI.com Honorable Mention All-American.

Leading the Knights defense, Plummer had 110 tackles to go along with a career-high 2.5 sacks, 8.5 tackles for loss, six break-ups, two interceptions and two forced fumbles last year. He was the national defensive player of the week for his work at Memphis when he posted two picks in the end zone.

Plummer boasts 235 tackles for his career in 38 games and 26 starts.

Plummer is looking forward to his final campaign as a Knight, and preseason camp will get underway July 31.
