Jesuit's winning streak over Tampa Catholic now stands at 16 straight games, thanks to a record-breaking performance from junior RB Malik Davis.  With 348 yards on 49 carries, Davis now holds the record for best single-game performance in Tigers history, breaking Mo Harris' 23-year record.

First-quarter TD runs of 14 and 35 yards from Davis gave the Tigers a quick 14-0 advantage.  The explosive first quarter continued with a 58-yd interception return for a TD by Crusaders CB Bentlee Sanders.

After a 1-yd QB sneak by Jesuit's Danny Boon, the Bay Area's top prospect, TC's Nate Craig, showed why he's ranked the 11th-best recruit in the nation.  A 43-yd catch-and-run from Austin Sessums to Craig pulled the Crusaders within eight, 21-13.  In the second quarter, another TD run from Boon was followed by a 59-yd TD pass to Devan Barrett by Tampa Catholic, and the Tigers led 28-20 at the half.

The second half was a defensive battle, highlighted by the play of Jesuit senior SS Mayson Atkinson, who had two interceptions and a forced fumble in the third quarter, and added a fumble recovery in the fourth quarter.  Davis' 25-yd TD run in the fourth quarter iced the victory for the Tigers.  Jesuit's offensive line paved the way for 381 rushing yards, the third straight game the team has topped the 300-yd plateau.

Sessums finished with 267 passing yards, connecting with four different receivers for at least 50 yards: Craig (93 yards), Barrett (67 yards), Darius Corbett (57 yards) and Noah Carlson (50 yards).

Tampa Catholic (8-2), ranked 3rd in the state in 3A, will look to bounce back next week in a 3A Region 2 Semifinal, as they host Winter Park Trinity Prep.

Jesuit completes their fourth undefeated regular season in school history, and their first since 2010.  The Tigers will host Lakewood in a 5A Region 3 Quarterfinal next week.
