1. Plant Panthers (24-3) - The Panthers remain at the top of the polls with the playoffs beginning. The Panthers just won the 8A-District 8 title. Plant hosts Winter Haven on Tuesday evening.

2. Berkeley Prep Buccaneers (19-7) - The Bucs are hitting their stride and won one of the most competitive districts in the area (5A-9) by beating Academy of Holy Names in the District Championship game.

3. Palm Harbor University Hurricanes (17-2-1) - The Lady 'Canes did not drop a district match all season. That continued with a 7A-10 title over rival East Lake. Watch out, PHU is coming.

4. Mitchell Mustangs (20-4) - The Mustangs are district champs and enter the playoffs winners of 11 consecutive matches.

5. East Lake Eagles (17-3) - The Eagles fell to Palm Harbor University in its district final, but will play on into the state playoffs.

6. Lakeland Dreadnaughts (18-9) - Crystal Ramsey and her girls have done it again! Another district title! They play Wharton in the first round of the state playoffs.

7. Academy of Holy Names Jaguars (17-6) - The Jaguars don't see it as an upset, but advancing to the finals of the 5A-9 tournament (runner-up to Berkeley Prep) was a big deal when you consider CCC was a heavy favorite to challenge the Bucs.

8. Winter Haven Blue Devils (23-4) - After an impressive season, the Blue Devils fell in the district finals to Lakeland.

9. George Jenkins Eagles (18-7) - Even in a loss to Osceola in its district final, the Eagles did exactly what they had to do to get keep the season alive. The Eagles are at Martin County in Stuart to begin the playoffs.

10. Wharton Wildcats (18-8) - No shame in losing to Plant in the district final. The Wildcats must regroup for Lakeland on the road.
