The Chiefs lead the AFC West with one of the most disruptive defenses in the game.

If Bucs quarterback Jameis Winston is forced to scramble it's something he's proven he can handle. One Buc Place is still buzzing over his third quarter, 3rd and 10 run versus Chicago.

"When things break down you just gotta try to find something positive at it," said Bucs quarterback Jameis Winston. "Extending plays is a big thing in this league."

"Sometimes it's difficult, but he'll make things happen and he'll make guys miss," said Bucs guard Ali Marpet after admitting he only saw it on tape because he was blocking until the whistle. "I wouldn't want to play with any other quarterbacks."

Protecting the football will be paramount this week. Kansas City's secondary leads league with 13 picks.  DB Marcus Peters is tied for most picks with five interceptions.  LB Dee Ford is co-leader of the NFL with 10 sacks.

"The tape on these guys, especially their red zone tape, wow," said Bucs Head Coach Dirk Koetter. "Inside the 20 they really close it down on you. Their very aggressive with their hands."

Tampa Bay will try to get back to .500 in one of the NFL's toughest locations.  Arrowhead's atmosphere is hostile. It rivals Seattle's CenturyLink Field for loudest in NFL. Communication needs to be on point. The Bucs have cranked up the crowd noise at One Buc to try and help prepare the team.

"Nothing that can be simulated or anything like that," said Marpet about the environment. "I think the only experience you have (like) playing at Arrowhead, is playing at Arrowhead."

"I know when Jameis and those guys are out there on 3rd down it's gonna get real loud," said Bucs defensive tackle Akeem Spence. "They definitely gotta be sure to communicate."

"Me communicating with different people alone is adversity, but at the end of the day we're not playing against the noise, we're playing against the Kansas City Chiefs," said Winston.

After getting his feet wet against Chicago, teammates say they hope running Doug Martin continues building at Arrowhead. Sidelined with a hamstring injury since Week 2, Martin rushed for 33 yards and scored a one-yard TD against the Bears.

Jameis Winston said seeing him toting the ball in the backfield makes it feel like everything is falling into place.
