Florida Gators cornerback Jalen Tabor, safety Marcus Maye and linebacker Jarrad Davis have all been named to the Bednarik Award watch list which is given annually to college football's best defensive player.

Maye has 82 tackles in 2015 and has 7 career forced fumbles while Tabor finished last season with a team-high 14 pass breakups and 4 interceptions while returning two for a touchdown. 

Davis finished his junior season in 2015 with 98 tackles and 11 tackles for a loss and is projected to be a high-round NFL draft pick.

Florida's 2016 season opener will be played at the Swamp against UMass on September 3rd at 7:30 PM.
