Coach Scott Frost is just days away from making his college coaching debut for UCF. The Knights who were winless a season ago look to show significant growth come Saturday against South Carolina State.

A lot of hype surrounding the Knights and their home opener, the team coining this one the ‘First Frost’ –calling for fans to wear all white.

“I think it’s really important for us to get off on a good foot, get our guys familiar with what it feels like to win again” Frost said Monday in his weekly press conference.

“I don’t think there is any one in our program that’s looking ahead of this one.”

“The whole team is very excited –we are tired of hitting each other you know we want to show our fans our talent,” wide receiver Tre’Quan Smith said. “We’ve been practicing all season very hard and want to compete against everybody and show everybody what the team has done and what the team can accomplish.”

Frost naming Justin Holman the starting QB late last week and after releasing his depth chart he reflects on how far the team has come.

“I see a world of change in this team from what I saw in December but that still has to play itself out. These guys have worked their butts off I see market improvement but in order for them to realize all the gains that they have made they gotta go out and focus and execute on Saturday.”

Game time is set for 7pm on Saturday—Knights hosting South Carolina State in the team’s home opener at Bright House Networks Stadium.
