After a 1 hour, 56 minute weather delay, the Tampa Bay Rowdies snapped a 7-match winless streak with a 2-0 win over FC Cincinnati in front of 6,269 at Al Lang Stadium.

Martin Patterson and Joe Cole both scored first half goals for the Rowdies who earned three points in the USL standings with the win.

The Rowdies (7-5-6, 27 points) won the Shots on Target battle 11-5 and were tied with FC Cincinnati in Shots (13) and Time of Possession (50%).

Rowdies goaltender Matt Pickens recorded a clean sheet with five saves.

Tampa Bay received two Yellow Cards while FC Cincinnati received three.

The victory is Tampa Bay's first since May 19th when they defeated Toronto FC II 3-1.

Midfielders Michael Nanchoff and Leo Fernandes were unavailable against FC Cincinnati with injuries.  Tampa Bay was also without defenders Damion Lowe, who is on international duty with Jamaica at the Gold Cup, and Luke Boden who is suspended due to yellow card accumulation.

The previously scheduled Kool and the Gang postgame concert was postponed as a result of the lengthy weather delay.

The Rowdies' next game is on the road against their USL rivals Orlando City B next Thursday at Orlando City Stadium.  Kickoff is set for 7:30 pm.
