Brazilian soccer star Kaká announced Wednesday he will not renew his contract with Orlando City Soccer.

The Lions’ captain will play his final home match on Sunday, when the team plays Columbus Crew.

“I will honor this jersey until the end as always,” Kaká said during the press conference.

Orlando City Soccer majority owner Flavio Augusto da Silva and CEO Alex Leitao were also present at Wednesday's conference.

Kaká, 35, was signed to Orlando City Soccer in 2014, ahead of its inaugural 2017 MLS season.

The midfielder quickly became a key figure for the club.

Kaká also became the highest player in the league, with a contract of just under $7.2 million.
