Here's your Tampa area weather forecast for late Wednesday into Thursday morning, with a look at conditions through the weekend and into next week.

  • Low humidity
  • Nice breeze
  • Front Friday

Skies will remain mostly clear into Thursday morning, but there will be just a little patchy fog in spots that get the coolest.

Speaking of lows, they will vary from the mid and upper 60s at the coast, to the upper 50s inland, to the mid 50s in Citrus and Hernando counties.

Thursday will be a repeat of what we’ve seen the past couple of days, with mostly sunny skies, low humidity, and a nice breeze off the gulf.

Highs will remain below average, topping out near 80 in the afternoon.

Thursday night will be mostly clear with lows in the 60s and 50s.

Friday will be partly to variably cloudy as a front moves through the area. There will be a 20 percent chance of a shower as it passes, so it’s not big rainmaker, but it will reinforce the dry air in the region.

Highs will again be near 80 Friday afternoon with a west wind off the gulf.

The front will move through bringing another blast of less humid air Friday night. Lows will be in the 60s and 50s.

Saturday will be gorgeous with mostly sunny skies, low humidity, and highs near 80 with a west wind off the gulf. Saturday night will be clear and pleasant with lows in the 50s to low 60s.

Sunday will be the beginning of the warmer days ahead, but not because of warm air from the south — rather, it will be a wind shift that does it this time. Simply put, our west wind will reverse and come from the east.

Because of that, the warmest air will pile up on our side of the state, instead of allowing that cooling influence from the gulf. Therefore, expect highs in the mid to upper 80s from Sunday through next Wednesday.
