NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. -- An inmate who walked away from a political event in New Port Richey on Saturday has been located, according to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office.

Nicholas Moore, 23, was attending an event at the Verizon Center on Trouble Creek Road.

He was seen just before the event ended at noon, but escaped supervision. 

Deputies say Moore took a taxi from Pasco County to the Nebraska Avenue area in Hillsborough County.

Moore is undergoing a treatment program at the ACTS Center in Tarpon Springs, according to deputies.

Just before 7 p.m., deputies said Moore was located in Hillsborough County. 

No other details were immediately available.
