PALM HARBOR -- Pinellas detectives arrested a 46-year-old Palm Harbor man after they said he had inappropriate sexual activity with a 16-year-old female.

According to police, they became aware of the sexual battery after the 16-year-old victim was hospitalized for consuming a large amount of alcohol. 

Detectives say Charles Flohr met the victim through an 18-year-old mutual friend. Both the 16-year-old and the 18-year-old were at Flohr's home in Palm Harbor at the time of the incident on June 29.

According to the report, Flohr poured shots of liquor for the victim and then engaged in sexual intercourse with the her while she was intoxicated and physically unable to resist.

During an interview with police, Flohr made references to having a "threesome" with the 16-year-old and the 18-year-old. Detectives were able to confirm that the incident did occur. 

Flohr was arrested on June 30 and booked into the Pinellas County jail on a sexual battery charge.
