PASCO COUNTY, Fla. -- A Pasco County teen was arrested Sunday after deputies say he fired a gas-powered BB pellet gun at multiple people.

The 17-year-old, who Bay News 9 is not naming because of our crime guidelines, was charged with three counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

The teen fired the pellet gun while traveling in a vehicle, deputies said.

At Trouble Creek and Cecelia Road, the teen shot a person in the lower rib cage. On Dahlia Avenue, a person was struck in the left forearm. One Madison Avenue, a third person was struck in the lower abdomen.

In each separate incident, the person had injuries that included lacerations and bleeding.

The New Port Richey Police Department also has several cases involving the 17-year-old.

The teen is a student at J.W. Mitchell High School, deputies said.
