TAMPA, Fla. — The Tampa Police Department is investigating a homicide in a Hyde Park neighborhood. 

  • Man shot, killed in Tampa early Sunday morning
  • Victim found in 600 block of S Willow Ave. 
  • Police combing neighborhood to gather evidence

A neighbor called 911 after hearing gunshots shortly before 4:30 a.m. on Sunday. 

Police found the male victim, between the age of 20 and 30 years old, in the 600 block of South Willow Avenue. He was transported to Tampa General Hospital where he died from his injuries. 

Police say they are unsure if the man was shot in the area, but say he knocked on a neighbor's door for help.

They are working to gather information to determine the circumstances that led up to the shooting. 

Police say no suspects have been taken into custody at this time and the investigation remains ongoing.  

Anyone with information is asked to call the Tampa Police Department at 813-231-6130. Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $3,000 for any information that leads to the suspect(s).
