The stepmom of a missing Orlando woman hopes to bring more awareness to her stepdaughter’s case.

Gayle Parker said Saturday marked the first National Missing Persons Day.
Six years ago on November 17th 2011, her stepdaughter, 33-year-old Michelle Parker went missing.
"She was beautiful on the outside but she was also more beautiful on the inside," said Gayle.
Police said Michelle was last seen dropping off her twin children with their father in East Orange County.
Investigators have called him the only person of interest but no charges have been filed.
"This does happen to you. It's not something you just hear about or read about, it does happen because here we are," said Gayle.
Since her stepdaughter's disappearance, Gayle has made contact with other families whose loved ones are missing, like the family of Jennifer Kesse.
Kesse disappeared from her home 12 years ago.
Orlando police announced last month that they're using tools like a bus banner to draw attention to the case.
"Right now after twelve years our family just wants to know what happened," said Drew Kesse, Jennifer's Father.
Gayle wants the same kind of awareness for Michelle's case.
"We need more buses out there with lots of faces on it, and lots of billboards on a regular basis because there's somebody out there that knows something about every one of these cases," said Gayle.
